At Workwarp, we believe that the future of work is borderless, flexible, and driven by innovation. As a rapidly expanding technology‑focused organization, we partner with industry‑leading cloud and security providers to deliver cutting‑edge solutions that empower enterprises worldwide. Our remote‑first culture attracts talent from every corner of the United States, fostering an environment where diverse perspectives, creative problem‑solving, and continuous learning thrive. If you are passionate about guiding complex programs, love collaborating across multiple teams, and want to make a tangible impact on the security landscape, you have found the right place.

Position Overview – Why This Role Matters

The Remote Senior Program Manager – Cybersecurity Initiatives & Azure DevOps Leadership will serve as the connective tissue between technical product teams, security specialists, and business stakeholders. You will own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of non‑technical programs that support our flagship cloud‑based security suite. From inception through launch, you will ensure that every milestone aligns with strategic objectives, that communication flows seamlessly, and that the program delivers measurable value. This is a high‑visibility role that partners directly with senior leadership, sponsors, and cross‑functional teams to drive adoption, improve operational hygiene, and elevate user experience.

Key Responsibilities – Your Day‑to‑Day Impact

  • Strategic Program Planning: Define program scope, objectives, timelines, and success metrics; develop comprehensive roadmaps that align with organizational goals.
  • Azure DevOps Governance: Own backlog management, sprint planning, and release coordination within Azure DevOps, ensuring that all tasks are prioritized, tracked, and delivered on schedule.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Facilitate regular meetings with sponsors, product owners, and cross‑functional partners; capture meeting minutes, synthesize action items, and circulate concise summaries.
  • Content Development: Produce high‑impact deliverables such as one‑page briefs, PowerPoint training decks, newsletters, and executive‑level presentations that translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify program risks, develop mitigation strategies, and maintain a transparent risk register accessible to all stakeholders.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting: Build dashboards and analytical reports using Excel and Power BI to measure adoption, utilization, and community growth; present findings to senior leadership on a monthly cadence.
  • Program Evangelism: Champion program objectives across the organization, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Resource Allocation: Work with resource managers to secure necessary personnel, budget, and tools; adjust allocations as program needs evolve.

Essential Qualifications – What You Must Bring

  • Professional Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in program or project management, with at least 2 years leading initiatives within Microsoft’s security ecosystem (e.g., Microsoft Defender family).
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, business administration, or a related field; PMP, ScrumMaster, or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
  • Technical Acumen: Demonstrated familiarity with Azure DevOps, Agile methodologies, and core cybersecurity concepts; while not a developer, you must comfortably converse with engineers and translate technical details for non‑technical audiences.
  • Analytical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, macros, data visualization) and PowerPoint; ability to synthesize large data sets into actionable insights.
  • Communication Excellence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to craft clear, persuasive content for executives, customers, and internal teams.
  • Organizational Mastery: Track record of managing multiple, simultaneous workstreams with competing priorities while maintaining meticulous documentation.

Preferred Qualifications – What Will Set You Apart

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or Cybersecurity.
  • Certification such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • Hands‑on experience building and scaling pilot programs or service launches within a cloud security context.
  • Demonstrated success in driving community adoption, measured by growing power‑user bases or increasing consumption of learning resources.
  • Proficiency with additional collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Power Automate.
  • Experience presenting to C‑suite executives, investors, or large external audiences.

Core Competencies & Skills – The DNA of Success

  • Agile Mindset: Comfortable operating in fast‑paced, iterative environments; adept at sprint planning, retrospectives, and continuous delivery.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the “big picture” while executing granular details; aligns program outcomes with broader business objectives.
  • Influence & Negotiation: Skilled at building consensus across diverse stakeholder groups, often with conflicting priorities.
  • Problem Solving: Proactive in diagnosing issues, developing root‑cause analyses, and implementing sustainable solutions.
  • Customer‑Centric Focus: Understands the end‑user experience and champions initiatives that enhance value for security professionals and IT administrators.
  • Adaptability: Thrives in a remote setting, managing time zones, flexible meeting schedules, and shifting project demands.

As a Senior Program Manager, you will have clear pathways to advance into Director‑level program leadership, Portfolio Management, or specialized roles within Security Operations. We evaluate program effectiveness through a blend of quantitative and qualitative indicators, such as:

  • Increase in power‑user adoption and active engagement with training materials.
  • Reduction in time‑to‑market for security feature rollouts.
  • Improvement in backlog health (e.g., cycle time, work‑in‑progress limits).
