As a key member of our university's payroll operations, you'll ensure accurate, timely compensation for our diverse community of faculty, staff, and student employees. This role combines technical expertise with mentorship opportunities, as you'll guide junior staff while serving as the go-to resource for complex payroll inquiries. Position Number: S78270 This position is a Grade: 8 - 37.5 with an approximate salary range of $43,940 - $52,740 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee comprehensive payroll processing for faculty, staff, and student employees • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations • Mentor and train junior payroll staff members • Resolve complex payroll-related inquiries and issues • Collaborate across departments to streamline processes and enhance efficiency • Coordinate payroll operations to meet critical deadlines • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation Qualifications: • High school diploma or the equivalent combination of education and experience; Associates Degree in Business preferred • Three to five years related work experience • Strong knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements • Proficiency in payroll systems and Microsoft Office Suite • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-dependent environment Join our vibrant academic community with comprehensive benefits including competitive compensation, excellent health coverage, retirement plans, tuition benefits for family members, and access to world-class facilities.
