Role Description As an Organ Placement Coordinator, you will be part of an organization that positively impacts lives every day! • Provide 24/7 coverage for organ placement coordination, managing donor organ offers through post-transplant recipient phases • Communicate and collaborate effectively with transplant centers, surgeons, and donor organizations • Adhere to OPTN policies and ensure compliance with transplant regulations • Accurately review donor and recipient charts and facilitate real-time documentation of accepted cases • Ensure seamless coordination of transplant logistics, utilizing standard templates and workflows • Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to team education Qualifications • Experience in organ procurement organizations (OPOs), transplant centers, or acute care settings (ICU, Emergency Department, or transplant units) preferred • Strong critical thinking and multitasking abilities in high-pressure situations • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and UNet DonorNet/Waitlist • Strong customer service and communication skills • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote team Requirements Work Location: Remote Schedule: On call 80-84 hours biweekly with a combination of day and night coverage. 12-hour on call schedules.
