Role Description
This role involves providing classroom experiences grounded in “best practices” for higher education and their respective disciplines.
• Provide high-quality instruction in assigned graduate didactic courses (e.g., Advanced Pathophysiology, Advanced Pharmacology, Advanced Health Assessment).
• Deliver course content aligned with approved syllabi, course objectives, and program outcomes.
• Engage students through interactive teaching, case-based learning, and application to advanced nursing practice.
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback on assignments, exams, and discussions.
• Maintain clear and ongoing communication with students and program faculty regarding academic progress and expectations.
• Adhere to all policies related to course management, grading, and recordkeeping.
• Maintain virtual office hours and respond promptly to student inquiries.
• Collaborate with the course lead and academic leadership to ensure content consistency and instructional excellence.
• Participate in orientation, faculty development, and meetings as required.
Qualifications
• Doctoral degree in Nursing (DNP or PhD) or Master’s degree in Nursing with current enrollment in a doctoral program.
• Certification in area of specialization in primary care.
• Current, unencumbered RN and APRN license.
• Demonstrated expertise in the assigned content area.
• Experience teaching at the graduate level, preferably in online or hybrid formats.
• Proficiency with learning management systems (e.g., Brightspace/D2L, Canvas, Blackboard).
• Willingness and ability to support and promote the Felician Franciscan mission and core values of the University.
Requirements
• Experience in graduate nursing education or curriculum development (preferred).
• Familiarity with instructional technology and active learning methodologies (preferred).
• Minimum of three years of recent advanced practice and/or academic experience (preferred).
Benefits
• Part-time, 1-2 courses per semester during the 2025-2026 academic year (spring), maximum 3 days per week.
• Salary Range: $750-1,100 per credit hour.
