Job Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled Customer Account Support Specialist to join our team. This role is 100% remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while being part of a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be available to work shifts between 8:00am – 7:00pm CST, Monday through Friday, and 8:00am – 12:00pm CST on Saturdays. This position is perfect for ambitious, results-oriented individuals with a natural talent for communication and negotiation.

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Account Support Specialist at blithequark, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Contacting customers to understand the reasons behind payment delinquencies and negotiating payments to find mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Handling customer accounts with speed, accuracy, and professionalism, ensuring that all interactions are respectful and courteous.
  • Confirming and negotiating payment arrangements, researching any discrepancies, and finding resolutions that satisfy both the customer and blithequark.
  • Meeting required performance standards and metrics through completing a high volume of phone calls, maintaining a high level of productivity, and ensuring that all customer interactions are positive and effective.
  • Maintaining established objectives for delinquency, repossessions, and net losses, staying updated on changes in policies and procedures, and adapting to these changes as necessary.
  • Utilizing computerized systems for tracking, information gathering, and troubleshooting, ensuring that all customer data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Documenting all customer interactions accurately, clearly, and concisely, noting the reasons for delinquency and the outcomes of negotiations.
  • Responding to customer inquiries with accurate information, using professionalism and integrity in every interaction.
  • Adhering to all state and federal laws in the handling of customer accounts, ensuring compliance and minimizing risk.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Professional phone etiquette, with a friendly, courteous, and patient demeanor in all customer interactions.
  • Good follow-up skills, with the ability to track and follow up on customer interactions and negotiations.
  • Persuasive negotiation skills, with the ability to find mutually beneficial solutions that satisfy both the customer and blithequark.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows and Internet-based applications, with basic typing and data entry skills.
  • The ability to multi-task, with a high level of productivity and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to work a five-day workweek, including some Saturdays, with flexibility to meet the needs of our customers.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • High School or Equivalent Required, with an Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field being highly desirable.
  • Prior experience in financial services or a similar industry, with a proven track record of success in customer account support or a related role.
