About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Overnight Customer Care and Technical Support Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our Student Success division, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional support to students, families, and institutions, ensuring seamless experiences and resolving technical issues with empathy and expertise. Key Responsibilities

  • Address concerns and provide timely support to student families, ensuring prompt resolution of technical issues and inquiries
  • Offer introductory information to new users on various products, facilitating a smooth onboarding experience
  • Utilize multiple technologies, including telephony, chat, and web-based inquiries, to resolve end-user inquiries and provide technical assistance
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, printers, phones, and other peripheral equipment, ensuring optimal system performance
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, completing software installations and documenting information into web-based ticketing systems
  • Establish strong relationships with all departments and colleagues, serving as a reference point for IT-related queries and providing delightful, efficient, and accurate resolutions to customer inquiries
  • Participate in internal training programs to expand knowledge and support multiple clients, demonstrating empathy, patience, and flexibility during phone calls and interactions

Essential Qualifications

  • Ability to work from 10:00 pm - 7:00 am EST, including weekends, and availability to train from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm EST for three weeks
  • Strong computer knowledge, including accurate typing skills (at least 25 wpm) and proficiency in MS Office applications (Word and Excel)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with faculty, students, staff, and team members
  • High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience, with a minimum age requirement of 18 years old
  • Full professional proficiency in written and spoken English (equivalent to CEF B2 level or above)
  • Ability to work from home in a quiet, distraction-free environment with a high-speed internet connection (Cable, Fiber, DSL) and meeting specific technical requirements (40 Mbps Download, 20 Mbps Upload, 100ms Ping or less, Jitter: 40 MS or less, Hardwired Connection)

Preferred Qualifications

  • College degree or some college completed, with a strong foundation in customer service, contact center experience, or technical help desk positions
  • Previous experience in the education industry and with e-learning technologies, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences
  • 1 or more years of customer service or contact center experience, with a proven track record of resolving complex technical issues and providing empathetic support
