As a Manager State & Higher Education at blithequark, you'll be part of a dynamic team that's dedicated to delivering exceptional results and exceeding customer expectations. You'll work closely with our Field Government Account Managers and designated portfolio management to execute strategic direction and drive growth in the State, Local, and Higher Education (SLED) managed travel accounts. Your expertise will be instrumental in increasing sales, establishing formal partnerships, and broadening awareness of our corporate travel programs and services.

**Key Responsibilities**
As a Manager State & Higher Education at blithequark, your key responsibilities will include:
* Coaching and professionally developing Field Government Account Managers and designated portfolio management to drive growth and exceed sales targets
* Executing strategic direction and developing business plans to increase sales, establish formal partnerships, and broaden awareness of our corporate travel programs and services
* Identifying and hiring top talent to join our sales organization of trusted Advisors in the managed travel industry
* Onboarding and training new hires to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction
* Analyzing market trends and competitor activity to inform business decisions and stay ahead of the competition
* Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including State, Local, and Higher Education managed travel accounts
**Essential Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
* At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in the travel industry or a related field
* Proven track record of driving growth and exceeding sales targets
* Strong coaching and development skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire high-performing teams
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed business decisions
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
**Preferred Qualifications**
While not required, the following qualifications would be a plus:
* Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
* Experience working in the managed travel industry or a related field
* Certification in a related field, such as Certified Travel Associate (CTA) or Certified Travel Counselor (CTC)
* Strong knowledge of sales and marketing principles, with experience developing and executing business plans
* Experience working with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction
