About the Customer Success Engineer Role

The Customer Success Engineer is a technical expert who plays a critical role in the post-sales customer journey. As a trusted advisor, you will work closely with our Customer Success Managers to understand customer needs, articulate the unique value of our proposed solutions, and deliver tailored proof of concepts that meet their specific requirements. Your technical expertise and customer-centric approach will enable you to build strong relationships with our customers, ensuring their long-term success and satisfaction with our products.

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Success Engineer at blithequark, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing post-sales support to our Customer Success team, Support team, and customers, ensuring seamless onboarding and expansion of existing clients.
  • Creating and managing tailored proof of concepts to transfer ownership to customers and demonstrate the value of our solutions.
  • Developing and delivering powerful situational product demonstrations that validate how our products solve specific customer problems and demonstrate the uniqueness of our value proposition.
  • Operating as a subject matter expert in the innovation management space and technology, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Developing and delivering responses to customer inquiries, including RFPs, RFIs, InfoSec questionnaires, and initial solution discussions.
  • Enabling our Customer Success team with training programs and tools to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.
  • Building and maintaining demonstration environments to showcase our products and solutions.
  • Creating and updating product demonstration scripts to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
  • Assisting our product development team in testing new products and providing feedback to inform future product enhancements.
  • Successfully matching customer pain and functional requirements to proposed solutions, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible outcomes.
  • Effectively documenting and communicating customer needs to our Product team to inform future product enhancements and ensure that our solutions meet the evolving needs of our customers.
  • Collecting and documenting competitive intelligence to stay ahead of the competition and identify new opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Taking on strategic projects that align with our Customer Success and blithequark objectives, driving business growth and expansion.

What You Need to Succeed

To succeed as a Customer Success Engineer at blithequark, you will need:

  • A deep connection with our mission and a passion for innovation and customer success.
  • A solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in web technologies, including CSS, HTML, JavaScript, RESTful API, and SAML 2.0 SSO.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in SaaS, B2B in a Sales Engineering position or related role, with proven skills and a track record of success.
  • Comfort in a dynamic atmosphere with a rapidly expanding customer base, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
  • The ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner to both business and technical-minded individuals.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
  • Willingness to travel, as required, to meet with customers and attend industry events.
  • Experience with CSAT or NPS, a plus, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving customer satisfaction.
  • A BA/BS degree or equivalent, with a strong educational foundation in a relevant field.
