Job Overview and Key Responsibilities

As a Ramp Agent at blithequark, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers' baggage and cargo arrive safely and on time. This is an entry-level position, and our leaders provide mentorship to help advance your career. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, as well as guiding incoming and departing aircraft from the gate positions to ensure timely connections.
  • Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather.
  • Safely driving and operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion.
  • Operating baggage scanners and computers to ensure that baggage is routed accurately to the customer's destination.

Our scheduling is based on operational needs, and shifts range from early morning to overnight. You will work between 20 and 40 hours per week, based on your seniority. We practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures, and you will be required to wear company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure your safety and the safety of others.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The work environment for a Ramp Agent at blithequark is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on safety and efficiency. You will be required to work in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, rain, and snow, and will need to be able to lift, bend, and stand for long periods of time. The physical demands of the job include:

Essential Qualifications

To succeed as a Ramp Agent at blithequark, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Ability to pass a physical ability test (PAT) and wear required company-approved PPE.
  • Ability to hold airport-specific requirements such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal.
