Position Title: SQL and Reporting Analyst (SQL Server + SSRS)

Position Overview:
The State of Missouri’s Office of Administration is seeking an experienced SQL and Reporting Analyst to support ongoing reporting, data analysis, and documentation initiatives. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing SQL queries, SSRS reports, and related documentation to support data-driven decision-making and reporting needs across multiple state programs.
This role requires hands-on technical experience with SQL Server 2019 and SSRS 2016/2022, as well as strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities:
• Design, write, and optimize SQL Server 2019 queries to support analytical and reporting requirements.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance SSRS 2016/2022 reports for multiple business units.
• Create and maintain technical specification documentation for data models, reports, and integrations.
• Support the verification and validation of data outputs to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical deliverables.
• Apply project management practices to track and report on work progress, timelines, and deliverables.
• Utilize Azure DevOps for task tracking, version control, and collaboration.
• Participate in team meetings via Microsoft Teams or Webex and contribute to documentation using Visio, Microsoft Office, and Snagit.
Required Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience working with SQL Server 2019.
• 3+ years of hands-on SSRS report development experience (SSRS 2016/2022 preferred).
• 3+ years of experience maintaining detailed technical specifications and documentation.
• 3+ years of experience using Visio, Microsoft Office, Azure DevOps, Teams/Webex, and Snagit.
• 3+ years of experience applying project management principles to track tasks and deliverables.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience working on public sector or government projects.
• Experience with Power BI or other reporting/visualization tools.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

Pay: $78,112.88 - $94,071.42 per year
