Position Title: 1.0 Teaching Assistant/Family Worker for Pre-K - 30 hours per week
Brief Description: Develop trusting and collaborative relationships with families. Meet and communicate with Head Start families. Conduct home and/or family visits. Provide support to families and school staff to promote family engagement. Maintain accurate and confidential records. Complete professional development and attend Head Start meetings and trainings.

Required Qualifications:

Possession of (or proof of eligibility for) New York State Teaching Assistant certification is required.
Minimum 60 college credits.
Ability to work with a team.
Strong organizational and communication skills

Proven ability to interact effectively with students and their families who represent cultures that are diverse in terms of race, class, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and other characteristics in order to build an effective and collaborative school community; and
Exhibits ability to implement culturally responsive curriculum; create an inclusive classroom; and differentiate instruction in order to engage the learning styles and needs of each student as an individual
Minimum Salary: $17.68/hour
