Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement tailored online teaching strategies to support students with learning disabilities, ensuring an engaging and inclusive learning experience.
Create and manage individualized education programs (IEPs) and digital learning plans that address each student's specific needs and goals.
Deliver specialized instruction in core academic areas, adapting content to meet students where they are.
Administer and analyze virtual assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
Collaborate with general education teachers to design and implement appropriate accommodations and modifications for students.
Maintain open and ongoing communication with students and their families, providing updates on progress and addressing concerns.
Participate actively in virtual staff meetings and professional learning communities, staying up-to-date on best practices in special education.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Special Education (Master's degree preferred).
Valid teaching license with an endorsement in learning disabilities.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in special education.
Proficiency in assistive technology and virtual learning platforms.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to differentiate instruction in an online setting.
