Job Title: Virtual Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (K-12)

Location: Remote (Serving K-12 students in Georgia)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Fully Remote

About Us:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Virtual Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) to join our team. In this role, you will work with K-12 students across Georgia, delivering high-quality instruction and support tailored to their unique needs in a virtual setting.

Key Responsibilities: • Develop and deliver individualized educational plans (IEPs) for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. • Provide engaging, accessible instruction aligned with Georgia state standards and each student’s learning goals. • Utilize various technologies and resources to enhance virtual teaching and facilitate communication, such as ASL (if applicable), captioning tools, and visual aids. • Collaborate with classroom teachers, school staff, and families to support student learning and ensure accommodations are effectively implemented. • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies to meet their needs. • Advocate for the needs of deaf and hard of hearing students within the school community. • Stay updated on best practices and legal requirements related to special education and deaf education.

Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or Special Education. • Valid Georgia teaching certification in Deaf Education. • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred but not required. • Experience working with deaf and hard of hearing students, in a K-12 setting. • Familiarity with virtual learning platforms and technology tools for remote teaching. • Strong communication and collaboration skills. • Passion for creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment for all students.
