Claims Representative 2 – Liability – Remote

As a Claims Representative on our Liability claims team, you’ll be there when our clients need us most and deliver on our promise to get clients back to normal as soon as possible. You’ll investigate, evaluate, negotiate and settle personal lines and commercial claims. Your work will focus on investigating and settling claims, such as multi-vehicle accidents and claims involving bodily... injury.

This position offers full time remote work if outside of a 50-mile radius from our Bloomington, IL office or outside of a 20-mile radius from our Alpharetta, GA office.

How does a Claims Representative 2 - Liability make an impact?
• Investigates claims by determining applicable policy coverage, evaluates, negotiates and settles assigned claims.
• Initiates contact with insureds, claimants, and all relevant parties to gather basic information, obtain recorded statements (when necessary), and explain the overall claims process.
• Evaluates damages and prepares written estimates according to policy provisions and liability.

Do you have what we’re looking for?
• Experience adjusting claims in AZ, CO and WI preferred but not required.
• Experience with the claim’s investigation and settlement process of one or more claim types, property claims, bodily injury and or material damage claims (including total losses). Previous experience handing specific claims applicable to area of special assignment.
• Good working knowledge of the policy provisions and coverages associated with liability claims. Proven ability to independently evaluate, investigate and settle claims of higher complexity and settlement authority than those handled by Claims Specialist – Field. Knowledge of contract insurance contracts and claims law.
• Requires highly developed oral and written communication skills to communicate and independently negotiate successful outcomes with a wide variety of internal and external contacts. Must possess the ability to handle potential conflict effectively and constructively.
• Must be able to work independently without an inordinate amount of supervision or management involvement. Excellent decision making, analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Maintains the appropriate adjuster's licensing as required by the states in which we do business.
• May be called upon for catastrophic duty.
• Typically requires 4 years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.
