About the position

The Senior AI/ML Engineer will be instrumental in evaluating and integrating advanced technologies to enhance civic technology initiatives within the federal government. This role involves leading prototyping efforts, assessing new tech solutions, and mentoring junior IT specialists, all while working in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities
• Lead technology evaluation efforts through prototypes and proof-of-concepts

• Analyze and communicate the pros and cons of new tech solutions

• Perform roles as a developer, operations, and security engineer in cloud environments
,
• Drive enterprise-wide adoption of innovative technologies

• Mentor and provide leadership to junior IT team members

Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar

• 7+ years of relevant experience
,
• Proficiency in Python, machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), data manipulation with pandas, and experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
