Position summary

In this role, you will assist in managing Nava's relationship with our subcontractors and teaming partners. You'll work directly for the Director of Contracts, in the Finance and Business Operations group, to assist with drafting a variety of legal agreements from templates. You will also work in the subcontractor module of Unanet to create POs and assign subcontractor employees to specific projects. If you are someone who is detail oriented, highly motivated and is interested in improving efficiency in contract management, but with an eye towards keeping your mind open to new approaches to problem solving, this may be the position for you.

What you'll do

  • Prepare and customize a variety of subcontractor agreements, including NDAs, Teaming Agreements, Authorizations to Proceed, Consulting Agreements and SubcontractsIssue POs through Nava’s ERP, Unanet
  • Maintain various funding tracking documents using Excel
  • Communicate effectively and frequently to keep the Director of Contracts informed
  • Maintain an accurate, current and well-organized archive of Nava's portfolio of legal agreements
  • Assist the Director of Contracts in ensuring that our contractual agreements serve our interests both generally and specific to the subject of the agreement
  • Required skills

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in federal and state subcontract management and experience in managing subcontractors
  • Using templates, developing contract documents using a variety of suites/applications, including G Suite, MS Office suite, Hubspot, Slack, Unanet, etc; Advanced Excel and Word knowledge
  • Knowledge of FAR
  • Highly organized, resourceful, reliable, and detail-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build and form strong relationships with company leaders, the internal team, our partners and our clients
  • Desired skills

  • Prior experience as a government contract specialist
  • Prior experience with the administration of contracts with the federal government and with state and local governments
  • Prior experience with the administration of subcontractorsPrior experience working with distributed teams
