Direct Support Professional/Caregiver Weekly Pay! Hiring Mon-Fri 2:30pm-10:30pm

The Direct Support Professional is responsible for providing individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) assistance and support necessary for the individual to complete personal care, health maintenance, and independent living tasks in a Group Home setting. Duties include but not limited to assisting individuals with activities of daily living skills, cooking, cleaning, and transporting to community outings and appointments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
?Assist Consumers in attaining and maintaining maximum functional independence.
?Training: Communication, social interaction, eating, independence, money management, vocational, and any other activities of daily living.
?Take part in social, recreational, shopping, and entertainment activities in community settings.
?Maintains a safe and clean atmosphere for the residents at all times, following all HCS safety procedures at all times
?Complete household chores on behalf of or in cooperation with individuals (e.g., individual's laundry, cleaning individual's bathroom, bedroom, and other home areas).
?Assist in medication distribution following medication distribution guidelines or dispense medication to an individual as trained and according to the individual's medication administration
?Report and document all unusual occurrences, including but not limited to choking, falling, vomiting, seizures, and new or different individual behaviors
?Implements philosophy of positive reinforcement and redirection of residents?behavior support plan.
?Accurately and timely complete all required documentation before the end of the shift.
?Performs all other duties as assigned
?Transporting individuals to day programs, appointments, and community events.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
?At least 18 years of age
?High School Diploma or equivalency
?CPR Certification (training provided once hired)
?Valid Texas driver? license
?Clean criminal history and OIG record
?Successful completion of Training and Orientation program
?Ability to read, write, and communicate using proper English grammar
?Good oral and written communication
?Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
?Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with wide range of individuals, including, staff and parents

Monday - Friday 2:30pm-10:30pm.
All shifts must have driver license!!
