Have you always wanted to start your career in the insurance industry but didn't know where to start?

The Sales Agent Trainee position is your first step toward becoming a licensed professional GEICO insurance agent! We are a local GEICO office in Palmetto Bay, looking for the next professional sales agent! We are only hiring highly motivated individuals with the drive to get it done and a passion for sales.

Pending a 90 day review, candidates will become eligible to continue their career path and become a Licensed Sales Agent with GEICO. This includes the opportunity for a pay raise, and ability to earn commissions! An average level 1 Agent makes about $60,000 per year but has the opportunity to make $100,000 or more!

Our office boasts a world-class training program that provides the tools for any motivated agent to succeed. One-on-one weekly coaching is provided during the initial training period but will continue on a regular basis even after you have graduated to a Sales Agent Level 1.

Salary: $15.00 per hour

Responsibilities

Part time position

Conducting outgoing WARM (not cold) calls to prospects

Work with a Lead Management System

Follow given sales and service talk paths to maximize interactions

Achieve daily, weekly and monthly sales goals

Requirements

Minimum two years of sales experience

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Desire to sell and grow

Bilingual (Spanish) & (English)

Possess a genuine willingness to learn, be intuitive and resourceful and be coachable.

Possess an upbeat, positive and enthusiastic attitude.

Create relationships from a cold start.

Proficiency to multi-task, follow-thru and follow-up.

Excellent Communication/interpersonal skills.

Confident, self-starter who works well independently.

Must have ability to multi-task.

Prior Sales Experience.

Must be highly self-motivated.

Professional phone etiquette.

Career minded vision.

Works well with other employees and is a team player with a positive attitude.

A Property & Casualty insurance license is required.

Strong work ethic and leadership skills.

Successful sales background.
