Insurance & Reinsurance Litigation Associate

A law firm seeks a skilled litigation associate to join its Insurance & Reinsurance practice in Boston, MA. This role offers the chance to work alongside industry leaders in a collaborative and innovative environment, providing representation and counsel to clients on complex litigation matters in the insurance and reinsurance space.
Duties
? Represent and advise insurers, reinsurers, and intermediaries in coverage disputes, reinsurance matters, and regulatory investigations.
? Handle complex litigation issues, including cases involving environmental liability, construction defects, asbestos, opioids, workers? compensation, toxic torts, and other mass tort claims.
? Engage in all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery materials, as well as conducting depositions and oral arguments.
? Collaborate with team members to develop legal strategies tailored to client needs.
? Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and actionable advice on ongoing matters.
Requirements
? 3-6 years of substantive litigation experience, specifically in insurance and reinsurance-related matters.
? Familiarity with complex legal disputes, including coverage claims and regulatory investigations, is strongly preferred.
? Outstanding technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
? Exceptional written and verbal communication, advocacy, and negotiation abilities.
? A strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
? Admission to the bar in Massachusetts and/or Connecticut, with active and good standing.
Education
? Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
? Admission to the Massachusetts Bar is required.
