Programmer Analyst

STAND 8 provides end to end IT solutions to enterprise partners across the United States and with offices in Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, and more including internationally in Mexico and India.

We are looking for an experienced Programmer Analyst to design and develop system solutions to business needs using senior-level tools and techniques. This role involves analyzing, coding, designing, testing, documenting, and supporting computer application software systems, as well as providing interfaces between internal systems and external parties. The Programmer Analyst will also mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
? Analyze new assignments and develop programming requirements and software specifications, serving as a technical lead when assigned.
? Prepare business cases outlining potential benefits, process changes, and associated business risks.
? Estimate effort and research costs for software development, unit testing, vendor package upgrades, and system integration.
? Collaborate with business analysts, business systems analysts, programmers, solution architects, and other team members to design solutions.
? Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, feasibility, and conformity to standards.
? Develop and utilize standard templates for technical design documentation.
? Program and test complex application components, integrating packaged solutions as needed.
? Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues and test result problems.
? Coordinate with technical teams on project initiatives.
? Mentor and guide junior staff; conduct peer reviews as needed.
? Document technology processes and systems.
? Deliver project and production support-related tasks as assigned.
? Provide post-implementation support, including on-call and after-hours work.

? 7-10 years of experience in Life and Annuity Insurance.
? Experience in INGENIUM 6.0 and above with Pathfinder.
? Knowledge of relevant business areas.
? Experience in multi-system environments, including custom-developed applications and packaged solutions.
? Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and mentor junior staff.
? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
? Strong oral and written communication skills.
? Ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives.
? Sound judgment in decision-making.
? Expertise in COBOL, DB2, JCL, TSO, JavaScript, and other relevant tools and languages.
? Strong data analysis skills, including advanced SQL queries.
? Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook) and advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
? Understanding of REST & SOAP Web Services and experience using SoapUI and REST API clients.
? BA or BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
? 7+ years of experience in systems analysis or programming, or equivalent training and experience.

Preferred
? ITIL Foundation certification.
? Experience with ServiceNow.

Additional Details
The base salary range for this position is $80-90/per hour, depending on experience.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
