Teller/Customer Service Representative
Posted 2025-04-22Working hours may include Monday-Thursday 8:00AM-5:00 PM, Fridays 8:00AM-5:30PM, and Saturdays 8:45 AM-12:30 PM. Position will require travel to all branches.

Must have good judgement and decision-making skills. Must be able to take direction, effectively manage expectations and meet deadlines. Must be organized and able to easily and efficiently access work-related information including navigating on a computer. Must have problem solving skills, including problem-solving when faced with customer issues.
Responsibilities would include:
? Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amounts, and check accuracy of deposit slips.
? Enter customers' transactions into computers to record transactions and issue computer-generated receipts.
? Balance currency, coin, and checks in cash drawers at ends of shifts, and calculate daily transactions using computers, calculators, or adding machines.
? Examine and cash checks for endorsements and to verify other information such as dates, bank names, identification of the persons receiving payments and the legality of the documents and accounts have sufficient funds.
? Count currency, coins, and checks received, by hand or using currency-counting machine, to prepare them for deposit or shipment to branch banks or the Federal Reserve Bank.
? Prepare and verify cashier's checks.
? Receive mortgage, consumer loan and other payments and ensure payments match balance due; enter payments into the system and issue receipts.
? Complete telephone transfers as requested by the customer after verifying customer identity.
? Answer customers' questions and explain available services.
? Inform customers of procedures for applying for services such as ATM cards, direct deposit of checks, etc.
? Refer customers to appropriate bank personnel to meet their financial needs.
? Collect and record customer deposits and fees, and issue receipts using computers.
? Investigate and correct errors upon customers' request, according to customer and bank records.
? Execute wire transfers of funds.
? Perform foreign currency transactions
? Compile information about customers including scanning drivers licenses, enter account information into computers, and file related forms or other documents.
? Provide accurate, efficient and exceptional customer service and support
? File documentation such as signature cards, customer correspondence, etc.
? Maintains knowledge of bank regulations, products, policies, procedures and meets deadlines
? Replenishes, deplete and troubleshoots ATM machines.
? Places holds on accounts
? Complete stop payment when requested by customers
? Work with customers on completing EFT disputes and written statements of unauthorized debit forms
? Process cash advances
? Removes deposits from, and counts and balances cash in, automated teller machines and night depository.
? Explains, promotes, or sells products or services such as gift cards, money orders, and cashier's checks
? Allows customers access to safe deposit boxes, following specified procedures.
? Utilize all available technology to perform daily tasks.
? Maintain customer confidence and protects bank operations by keeping information confidential.
? Develop and maintain skills necessary to accurately and proficiently open new accounts and increase customer relationships.
? Interview customers to obtain information needed for opening accounts or renting safe-deposit boxes.
? Knowledge of new account documentation and compliance including knowledge of required account documentation, eligibility, account titling, identification, tax ID, resolutions, legal documentation
? Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of products and services to support customer needs; educate customers on various products and services, explaining key features and benefits.
? Represent the Bank by participating in community events such as festival parades and volunteer activities
? Other duties as assigned
