As the Generative AI Architect for the Data & Innovation team, you will lead in defining generative AI architecture and use for Farmers Insurance. Play an influential and instrumental role in driving Generative AI vision, strategy, and architecture. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and identify opportunities for automation, leveraging emerging technologies to optimize processes and drive efficiency. As a GenAI-focused Enterprise Architect, you will be pivotal in transforming our enterprise architecture to support a robust and scalable framework.

Essential Job Functions
? Play a key role in defining the AI architecture and selecting appropriate technologies from a pool of open-source and commercial offerings. Select cloud, on-premises, or hybrid deployment models, and ensure new tools are well-integrated with existing data management and analytics tools.
? Collaborate with domain experts, cross functional teams, and business stakeholders to identify use cases where GAI can bring significant value.
? Design end-to-end GAI solutions tailored to specific insurance use cases. Define data requirements, model architecture, training pipelines, and integration with existing insurance systems utilizing state-of-the-art techniques such as GPT, VAE, and GANs.
? Implement data preprocessing and augmentation techniques to ensure high-quality and diverse data for training Generative AI models.
? Develop and oversee GAI model training pipelines, monitoring model performance, and conducting evaluations to ensure the models meet insurance-specific objectives and requirements.
? Assess potential risks associated with GAI solutions, such as biases in data or model outputs, and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure fairness and reliability.
? Work with IT teams to integrate GAI solutions seamlessly into existing insurance systems, ensuring smooth data flow and model deployment.
? Ensure GAI implementations comply with relevant insurance regulations, legal, data privacy, and security requirements.
? Implement mechanisms for monitoring the performance of GAI solutions in real-world scenarios and optimizing them to meet business goals.
? Document the GAI architecture, design decisions, and implementation details for knowledge sharing within the organization. Provide training to technical teams and insurance professionals on GAI concepts and applications.
? Stay abreast of the latest developments in Generative AI and insurance-specific technologies and methodologies and apply relevant advancements to improve GAI solutions in the insurance domain.

Education Requirements
? Bachelor?s or master?s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field

Experience Requirements
? 10+ years? experience
? Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect, Solution Architect, or a similar role, with a focus on AI/ML and generative AI.
? Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, frameworks, and methodologies.
? Strong understanding of generative AI techniques, including deep generative models (e.g., GANs, VAEs), autoregressive models, and reinforcement learning for generative tasks.
? Solid understanding of machine learning principles including advanced analytics tools (such as SAS, R and Python) along with applied mathematics, ML and Deep Learning frameworks and libraries (such as TensorFlow, PyTorch) and ML techniques (such as random forest and neural networks).
? Experience with cloud-based platforms and services, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
? Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark) is desirable.
? Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
? Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
? Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, managing multiple projects and priorities effectively.
? Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams, driving successful implementation of automation initiatives.
? Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
? Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals, and actively contribute to the scientific community through presentations and collaborations

Additional Qualification
? Certification in Enterprise Architecture (e.g., TOGAF) or relevant AI/ML technologies.
? Experience in Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
? Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
? Experience in enterprise-wide AI/ML initiatives.
? Experience applying Lean/Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, and Value Stream Management to business problems to optimize pace, quality, and efficiency
