The job of a Personal Lines Account Manager (Remote or in the office) is a very important position that involves helping affluent individuals and families. It is a rewarding and demanding position that requires professionalism and the ability to give clear advise. Our customers rely on us to protect their assets and family.
What does your day look like:
Work with Harbour Producer(s). We are a teams based company and you will mainly be working under our seasoned producers who are experts in working with and advising individuals and families. You will be colloborating with them via email, Teams chat, phone calls and thru Applied Epic. Most of your day will be spent working on their book of business.
Responsible for renewing accounts: Renewing accounts is a chance to review coverages to make sure the client has the best coverage possible. It also is a time to connect with the client. Clients love an annual review- it makes them feel secure and confident in what they are buying. The goal is to have a retention of 89%.
Pulling expiration reports 60 days out. This is the core of your work flow as most of our private clients want us to review their accounts on an annual basis.
New business and renewal proposals. Our clients like to have new and renewal proposals to review. Most of the time we present them via email and over the phone.
General review accounts. In some situations you will conduct a review of the policies as they come up for renewal. That does not mean you will remarket them every year, rather it will be a review of the risk(s) and make recommendations on coverages.
Renewal Quoting. You will spend time quoting home, auto, umbrella, boat, valuable articles and primary and excess flood risks. Mainly you will do this by going to the companies website or a rater. Sometimes you will have to call or email the company underwriter. Some of the carriers we are directly appointed with are Chubb, Vault, Frontline, Slide, Tower Hill, Olympus, Safeco, Travelers, Progressive, and various Lloyd syndicates.
When Needed Meet with clients at the office or virtually: As said before most of our business is done remotely but on some occassions meet with them in person (if you are hired for in office) or virtually (if hired for remote).
Back up for other AM's responsibilities when needed: We rely on each other. And when a teammate needs help or is out you are expected to help them as they would help you, the "Golden Work Rule".
Document in Epic: Make sure you document activities in Epic per Harbour?s policies and procedures. We are very focused on documenting in Epic.
Help with other teammates when needed: As we all do and is the culture of the agency be willing to help when we are short staffed on things outside your traditional duties.
Have Fun: We like what we do and we do what we like. We enjoy each others company and like to do fun things, laugh and learn about each other.
Qualifications:
- 2-20 or 20-44 State of Florida Insurance license
- 5 years of FLORIDA insurance experience. As you know Florida is unique.
- Preferably 5+ years? experience as a Personal Lines Account Manager
- Kind and empathetic and desire to help people
- Strong interpersonal skills capable of reading people?s emotions and needs
- Applied Epic experience preferred

We are looking for someone with experience with Florida insurance. We are not considering applicants without this.
