Director-Workers' Compensation Small Business Insurance Marketing

This role is eligible to participate in Zenith?s hybrid work schedule which provides the flexibility to work from home on select days of the week according to the in-office schedule established by regional executive leadership.

Responsible for managing a targeted group of regional agents/national brokers and/or small business consolidations from pipeline through partnership and program renewal. Streamline and operationalize the consolidation experience in a way that improves results, reduces timeframes, and scales Zenith resources regardless of territories. Actively seeks opportunities for profitable growth and develops a better customer experience. Works with assigned agents/brokers to develop, expand and optimize a flow of qualified business both directly and in partnership with existing Zenith team members. Monitors the competition and helps to uncover and resolve production barriers. Builds and broadens relationships between Zenith and agency partners and their producing staff. Supports the training of agents on Zenith as a market including our underwriting appetite, capabilities, advantages, products and services. Has a broad understanding of Zenith?s various funding mechanisms and supports the company's pricing and selection disciplines. Responsible for developing and driving Small Business initiatives.

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Advance the Zenith Brand
? Promote new or more advanced ideas for our products, sales and marketing materials.
? Advance teamwork, relationships, and the customer experience.
? Works closely with internal departments to resolve any roadblocks in service and ease of doing business.
? Develop deep and productive relationships with our agencies and their producing staff.
? Develop a strong, collaborative relationship with marketing, underwriting and the other departments.

Distribution Management.
? Assess and develop a strategic marketing plan for assigned area of responsibility.
? Evaluate and execute on opportunities and challenges for profitable growth.
? Manage a targeted group of regional agents/national brokers and/or small business consolidations from pipeline through partnership and program renewal.
? Understand the profile, book, sales approach, capabilities, competition and key players for each assigned agency/broker.
? Partner with internal teams to define and implement strategy and process improvement activities.
? Analyze agency reports to support Field agency management in Small Business. Help to better structure our internal reports to sharpen our focus on agents that have a specialized approach to Small Business and help ensure mutually profitable, significant and efficient relationships.

Sales Leadership.
? Develop a strong, collaborative relationship with the Field and ZSB. Align with the regional resources most dedicated to Small Business. Participate in the development of the Small Business distribution strategy with each Region.
? Support marketing team to develop a flow of qualified business.
? Develop and work a pipeline of prospects and opportunities.
? Has a broad understanding of Zenith?s various funding mechanisms and supports the company's pricing and selection disciplines.
? Support the sales process working collaboratively with management, the underwriters and other departments to drive the acquisition and retention of desirable business.
? Work with our agents to sell the value of our programs and services.
? Help to resolve any customer or service issues that are a barrier to a successful sales outcome.
? Serves as our lead for targeted relationships, books of business and partnership renewals.
? Coordinates all aspects of the point of sale and ensures Zenith?s value proposition is clearly communicated and understood by the agency and producing staff.
? Oversee and consult on agency performance and outcomes and make adjustments as necessary to agency plans to ensure mutually profitable, significant and efficient relationships.
? Develop competitive intelligence for the local marketplace to facilitate optimal positioning of products and services to serve agent and policyholder needs and improve our success ratios.
? Applies principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Education Qualifications
? Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent combination of training/experience required

Experience Qualifications
? 7+ Years progressively responsible insurance industry experience (claims, underwriting, policy operations, etc.) required with preference for Workers' compensation experience. A marketing and underwriting background is preferred.

? Excellent analytical skills including a good working knowledge of how to use spreadsheets and reports.
? Excellent communication skills. Ability to present ideas effectively in formal and informal situations; conveying thoughts clearly and concisely.Team player and collaborative style

? Consistently maintain professional and appropriate demeanor.
? Valid Driver's License in good standing.
? 5+ Years Agency management, producer, or account manager experience preferred.
? Preference given to leadership experience.
? Work productively and harmoniously with others on a consistent basis.
? Respond positively to direction and feedback on performance.

The expected salary range for this position is $125,526.54 to $156,908.17. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
