External and Corporate Relations Vice-Presidency (ECR) The mission of External and Corporate Relations (ECR) is to help deliver financial and political support for the World Bank Group, strengthen the Bank Group?s role as a global thought leader in development by enhancing and safeguarding its reputation, and supporting operational teams to achieve country outcomes. ECR manages corporate communications and global engagement with key stakeholders, including media, civil society, foundations, private sector, donor countries, and international organizations, as well as employee engagement. ECR also manages strategic communications for the World Bank?s Regions and Global Practices and leads the management of reputation risk. About the External and Corporate Relations ? Leadership Engagement TeamThe Leadership Engagement Team is part of the Corporate Internal Communications Team within ECR?s Communications & Content department (ECRCM), which provides a service center for messaging, content generation, and alignment across the VPU. The Leadership Engagement Team offers advisory and relationship management services to various VPUs to ensure communications are aligned with corporate priorities, departmental needs, and staff expectations. Responsibilities include: o Act as a strategic advisor to the EIJ VPU, facilitating customized communications planso Promote consistent, inclusive, one-voice messaging that resonates across teamso Build strong ownership of our vision, mission, and culture through tailored engagement strategieso Foster collaboration to ensure all messaging reinforces organizational priorities and valueso Serve as technical lead for the Feedback Council, a regular forum for receiving, evaluating, and addressing staff feedback on key issues This position reports to the Leadership Engagement Lead, who reports to the Advisor, Corporate Internal Communications. The selected candidate will have already been successful in supporting engagement efforts for a VPU, have strong leadership and technical skills, and demonstrate initiative, creativity, judgement, and decision-making. Roles and Responsibilities: External Affairs Officer, EIJ Develop communications that promote decency, facilitate a values-based workplace culture, and advance the strategic priorities of the EIJ VPU and overall corporate internal engagement priorities: ? Support the communication needs of the EIJVP and Front Office, including talking points, speeches, briefing notes, multimedia content, event promotion, and the EIJVP?s internal newsletter to EIJ staff.? Provide strategic communications advice to the EIJ leadership team and the units they manage.? Develop a range of communication products to increase staff awareness and clarity about EIJ programs and resources, including the upcoming WBG-wide rollout of the EIJ Navigator, the VPU?s new centralized intake function.? Serve as technical lead for various campaigns to build support for a values-based workplace culture, including the Be the Value program. ? Execute end to end communications and coordinate staff engagement for the VPU?s annual EIJ Week and other EIJ events that promote staff awareness of EIJ programs.? Manage and oversee editorial content of EIJ?s online presence (internal and external).? Oversee development and publication of EIJ?s Annual Report.? Reinforce EIJ brand guidelines and message consistency across communication channels. Work as a collaborative member of the ECRCC team to support corporate internal engagement priorities: ? Share knowledge, collaborate on joint initiatives, and align on messaging and corporate communication priorities, especially around culture-related initiatives.? Lead on One WBG communication initiatives in line with ECR?s recent organizational revamp.? Serve as technical lead for the Feedback Council, a regular forum for receiving, evaluating, and addressing staff feedback on key issues important to staff.

Selection Criteria

The successful candidate will have experience in employee engagement and corporate communications, with strong technical skills (writing/editing, project management, communications strategy development, and impact measurement). He/she will have:

? A master?s degree in communications, business administration, or related field with at least 5 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
? Proven track record of producing clear and compelling written communications and editing documents, stories, etc. for broad internal (and external) audiences.
? Proven ability to design and execute creative communication products and strategies aligned with specific objectives.
? High degree of ethics, discretion, tact, and sensitivity in dealing with others and in handling confidential and sensitive information.
? Ability to effectively interact with diverse internal and external stakeholders at all levels, demonstrating respect for different points of view and building productive working relationships.
? Understanding of strategies to build a cohesive workplace culture, promote inclusivity, and drive organizational change.
