AWS Cloud Database Engineer

Long-Term Contract

We?re assisting a client, a prestigious and large investment management company, in their search for a AWS Cloud Database Engineer. This is a long-term contract opportunity based out of San Antonio, TX (Hybrid).

Qualifications

Education:
? Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience
? 10 years of SQL server administrator experience.
? Proficiency in SQL server, Always On, PowerShell and Terraform.
? Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
? Strong PowerShell scripting abilities for automation and troubleshoot/debug existing PowerShell scripts and integration tasks.

Technical Skills
? Primary: SQL DBA, Always On, PowerShell, AWS (EC2 instances) and Terraform (Extensive experience).
? Secondary: PostgreSQL/Auora PostgreSQL and Oracle RDS.
? Experience with cloud environments (AWS).
? Knowledge of database security best practices and high availability setups for Cloud Environments.
? Understanding/building of the Automation and interact with Application team for troubleshooting and debugging framework issues.

Preferred Qualifications
? It's good to have cloud platform Certifications (AWS).
? Experience with additional automation tools (DMS, etc) or programming languages (PowerShell).

Responsibilities

Database Design & Management
? Design and manage highly availability solutions, scalable databases using SQL Server, Always On and Windows Clusters.
? Work collaboratively with the Offshore and Onshore team.
? Focal point of contact between with Customer and Solugenix team on technical/Solution discussions.
? Strong Written/Verbal communication who can deal with customer on daily basis.
