Responsibilities
? Perform final dictation entry formatting, including microscopic description, final diagnosis, and comment fields.

? Assign appropriate pathologist to each case.
,
? Document case holds generated by transcription.
,
? Assign ICD codes on derm cases.
,
? Edit fee codes.
,
? Designate Cancer call and Special Event cases in CoPath.
,
? Follow laboratory procedures for processing, reporting, and maintaining records of patient test results.
,
? Adhere to all quality control/quality assurance policies and procedures and document all quality control activities.
,
? Identify problems that may adversely affect reporting of results and document all corrective actions taken.
,
? Assist in the proper storage and maintenance of all records when needed.

Requirements
? Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
,
? Minimum one year experience as a pathology transcriptionist or medical transcription experience.
,
? Knowledge of medical terminology.
,
? Effective oral and written communication skills via telephone, e-mail, and in person.
,
? Grammar and proofreading skills.
,
? Attention to detail and accuracy.
,
? Ability to take the initiative and work independently and within a team.

? Customer service driven.
