About the position

Shermco Systems Integration, a Shermco company, is seeking an I&E Technician. This person can be based anywhere in Texas, but needs to be willing to travel around 90% of the time. Shermco is an industry-leading turnkey systems integration firm that offers the opportunity to develop and utilize a broad electrical skill set at an accelerated pace. Responsibilities
? Install, commission, and maintain power, instrumentation, process controls, and SCADA equipment
,
? Perform routine and emergency maintenance on power, instrumentation, and control systems
,
? Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting of power and control systems
,
? Coordinate repair, testing, and installation of power and control systems
,
? Mechanical and Electrical installations
,
? Rigid, EMT, PVC coated rigid conduit
,
? Service, feeders, and branch circuits
,
? Controls, fiber, and network cabling
,
? Stainless tubing and instrumentation
,
? Service equipment, MCC, panelboards

Requirements
? Master Electrician, Journeyman Electrician, or Apprentice Electrician is a plus but not a requirement
,
? Field experience in the industrial field with power and control systems
,
? Understanding of electrical schematics and controls
,
? Self motivated individual - able to work independently with minimal supervision
,
? Team oriented, flexible and willing to assist in other technical disciplines
,
? Hand and power tool capabilities
,
? Willingness to be hands-on and work in the field alongside our engineers and field technicians
,
? Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate in English via verbal and written methods
