Description: As a Staff Assistant on the Flight Team at American Airlines, you will be responsible for providing vital support to pilots and fellow employees by assisting with operational, administrative, and personnel-related tasks. Key duties include handling phone inquiries and walk-in assistance, issuing parking tags, and completing AOA badge applications. You'll manage payroll transactions for various types of leave and oversee the processing of personnel records for pilots transferring to or from the base. Additionally, you?ll maintain and manage loaner iPads, Jeppesens, and office supplies, ensuring everything is inventoried and ordered through Smart Buy. The role also requires you to maintain detailed data files using Excel.

Requirements: To qualify for this position, candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED equivalency and possess a minimum typing speed of 25 words per minute. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Teams, is essential, gained through work experience or hands-on use. Applicants must complete FAA criminal background checks to obtain unescorted access to airport security identification display areas (SIDA) and be eligible to secure airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges, as applicable. Additionally, the role requires adaptability to COVID-related safety measures, including mask-wearing, social distancing, sanitization, health screenings, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Preferred qualifications include prior administrative experience in departments such as Flight, Flight Operations, Flight Training, or Safety.
