Job Description:
The Graduate Assistant for the GradQuest Grant will assist in planning, organizing, directing, evaluating, and implementing programs and activities related to managing the PPOHA (Promoting Post-Baccalaureate Opportunities for Hispanic Americans) grant. This position will support the GradQuest programming for the College of Graduate Studies and Research, providing administrative support to the co-directors with a specific focus on Faculty Professional Development. The role involves preparing project correspondence and related documents and scheduling meetings, events, and training sessions.
Key Responsibilities: ? Support Faculty Professional Development: Assist in developing and implementing faculty professional development programs focused on digital learning and instruction. This includes helping to create online professional development modules, organizing workshops, and providing support for faculty, staff, and administrators to enhance their teaching practices and curriculum design. ? Assist in the development and scheduling of project services, including orientation, workshops, peer mentoring, campus involvement, professional development, program assessment and evaluation, and all other activities associated with the project. ? Help ensure that project evaluations are carried out and used for improvement. ? Maintain compliance with program regulations. ? Assist in the preparation of annual and other performance reports and training materials. ? Liaise with Project co-directors, Project Advisory Committee, Dean of Digital Learning and Instruction
Required Qualifications: ? Currently enrolled in a graduate degree program ? Strong organizational and time management skills ? Excellent communication skills, both oral and written ? Proficiency in the use of personal computers and related software applications ? Ability to analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action
Salary:
$18 an hour
