Job Overview

Dollar General is in the process of hiring Store Freight Transport Specialist to handle regional and dedicated routes, with duties including the transportation of goods from distribution centers to retail stores. Duties & Responsibilities
? Safely and promptly transport goods destined for store delivery.
? Transfer and load cargo at each scheduled drop-off spot.
? Uphold compliance with Department of Transportation regulations and adhere to Dollar General's safety policies.
? Secure timely deliveries to retail stores and distribution centers.
? Engage in pre-travel and post-travel assessments of designated vehicles.
? Provide outstanding customer support to store employees and vendors.

Qualifications
? Holding a valid Class A commercial driver's permit.
? One year of prior experience driving tractor-trailers is essential for the job.
? Participation is restricted to those who have surpassed the age of 20.
? Understanding the stipulations of DOT regulations and federal safety standards for motor carriers is vital.
? Adequate in managing and lifting cargo of up to 50 lbs in weight.
