Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our growing team. This is a permanent position with a competitive salary package and benefits. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in medical billing.

Responsibilities:

? Review and process medical claims for accuracy and completeness in compliance with insurance regulations and guidelines
? Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility
? Submit and follow-up on claims to ensure timely payment
? Resolve billing discrepancies and denials
? Maintain patient records and billing information in electronic medical record (EMR) system
? Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries and issues
? Stay up-to-date on changes in medical billing and coding regulations and guidelines

Qualifications:

? At least 1 year of experience in medical billing and coding
? Knowledge of ICD-10 & CPT coding (vascular & general surgery specialty is a plus!)
? Knowledge of Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medi-Cal, HMO, PPO, & Worker's Compensation billing and documentation
? Strong attention to detail and accuracy
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
? Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
? Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR systems
