Clinical Psychologist - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to)
? The Clinical Psychologist conducts psychological evaluations using clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources as appropriate.
? Establish psychiatric diagnoses based on the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders (DSM).
? Provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups, aiding medical and surgical patients in managing illnesses or injuries.
? The Clinical Psychologist assists in the rehabilitation of patients.
? Assess mental and emotional health through interviews, tests, collateral sources, and observations.
? Offer counseling and therapy sessions to enhance individuals' well-being.
? Conduct research to advance understanding of human behavior and develop new treatment methods.
? Participate in ongoing professional development to stay informed of the latest research, techniques, and ethical guidelines.
? Ensure confidentiality and privacy of client information in all psychological practice.
? Respond effectively in emergency situations, following established protocols and documenting events.
? The Clinical Psychologist maintains comprehensive documentation of all treatments provided as required by clinic directives.
Clinical Psychologist - REQUIREMENTS
? Degree: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
? Education: Graduate from an American Psychology Association accredited college or university with a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology.
? Internship/Residency: Successful completion from an internship in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association.
? Experience: Shall be required to demonstrate clinical competency for1 year as Clinical Psychologist.
? Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico or US Virgin Islands.
? Life Support Certification: Possess a current AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
? Security: Must possess ability to pass a government background check/security clearance.
