Job Overview

Under general supervision of the Senior Manager Parking Operations, responsible for ensuring the efficient, guest-focused, and fiscally responsible operation of the airport’s Parking Operations services within assigned section. Oversees daily operations, staff performance, resolution of guest concerns, financial accountability, quality control, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize Parking Operations. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to drive innovation, enhance service quality, and align Parking Operations with broader airport objectives.

What you will be doing:
• Oversees all aspects of parking operations within assigned section, ensuring seamless, high-quality service across all parking facilities. Monitors and optimizes staffing levels, scheduling, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and enhance the guest experience, supports budget oversight, and enforces and continuously refines operational policies, procedures, and best practices to align with industry and safety standards.
• Ensures proper functionality and maintenance of all parking equipment, technology, and infrastructure to minimize disruptions and downtime.
• Assists the Senior Parking Operations Manager in the development and management of the section’s budget, financial planning and expenditure monitoring. Analyzes operational costs, evaluates resource allocation within assigned section, identifies cost-saving opportunities, and ensures fiscal accountability to ensure the effective use of materials, labor, and services in line with financial goals and activities.
• Compiles, analyzes and presents operational and statistical data, key performance indicators and reports related to parking operations to senior leadership. Provides insights and actionable recommendations to improve parking operations and enhance guest experience.
• Builds and maintains effective working relationships with key stakeholders and cross-functional departments, ensuring that parking operations aligns with broader airport goals and objectives, while contributing to a seamless guest experience.
• Collaborates and assists the Environmental Affairs Department to enforce safety protocols, and mitigate environmental risks within Parking Operations. May delegate field observations to appropriate personnel where required.
• Manages the full lifecycle of operational contracts and assigned projects, including scope development, procurement, execution, and ongoing performance evaluation. Acts as the primary point of contact for external vendors, contractors, and service providers within section, ensuring compliance with agreements and operational expectations.
• Undertakes special projects, and partners with the Senior Manager to initiate, justify, and lead capital improvement projects that support long-term operational goals, supporting the overall mission of Parking Operations and the Transportation Business Unit.
• In the absence of the Senior Parking Operations Manager, assumes full responsibility for managing parking operations, making key operational decisions, representing the section in department meetings, and liaises with external partners as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

What you need:
• Bachelor’s degree in business management, transportation, logistics, public administration, or related field.
• Five (5) plus years of experience in a major parking operations environment, including one (1) year of customer service/point of service experience.
• Two (2) years of experience in a supervisory or management position.
• Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license.
• Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
• Knowledge of parking management systems, operational software, and emerging parking technologies.
• Knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures of large-scale parking operations, including revenue control, facility management, and guest service standards.
• Knowledge of workplace safety, environmental regulations, and emergency response procedures related to parking operations to ensure compliance.
• Skilled in conflict resolution, negotiation, and handling guest concerns with a solutions-oriented approach while balancing customer satisfaction with operational efficiency and financial objectives.
• Ability to hire, train, evaluate, and develop direct reports, to foster a culture of accountability, professional growth, and excellence to enhance employee engagement and retention for a team engaged in 24/7 operations across multiple locations.
• Ability to develop, document, and implement operational systems, procedures, and training manuals to enhance efficiency and service quality.
• Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret operational data to drive informed decision-making and performance improvements.
• Ability to solve problems, anticipate issues, evaluate risks, and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and irregular hours when needed, including reporting on short notice during inclement weather or emergency situations.
• Ability to prepare and effectively communicate complex ideas and operational strategies in English, in both written and verbal formats to diverse audiences both within and outside of the organization.
• Ability to prepare and deliver clear, concise, and data-driven reports and presentations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Ability to utilize the MS Office suite including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

What we desire:
• Previous experience in an airport parking operation or other high-volume parking environment.
• General understanding of large-scale parking control systems and technologies, such as lot barriers, license plate recognition, inventory management, and payment processing.
• Ability to speak a second language, in addition to English.
