Job Summary/Basic Function

The Office of Financial Aid is accepting applications to fill an
Administrative Assistant position.

Reporting to the Director of Financial Aid, the Administrative
Assistant coordinates and delivers a full range of administrative
and office management services. The Administrative Assistant offers
primary assistance to the Director of Financial Aid in developing
and implementing plans and goals for the department through
administrative responsibilities in conjunction with coordinating
the office budget, providing outreach services, processing,
coordinating small programs and assisting with developing office
wide communication strategies. This position is responsible for
coordinating events, creating, and maintaining data, research, and
servicing initiatives that positively impacts students of all
backgrounds across campus. This position ensures efficiently
accomplished key tasks and university/department objectives. This
position also maintains the director's communications to ensure
organization and follow-up, provides initial screening of visitors
and determines what level of support is needed, being knowledgeable
of all financial aid policies, procedures and, the process for
requesting aid, and the eligibility requirements for receiving and
maintaining financial aid while offering polite, professional
customer service. This role requires skills in organization,
flexibility, customer service skills, computer literacy, some
after-work hour availability for OFA events, and the ability to
take on additional duties/responsibilities as needed by the
director and the department.

Annual Salary: $44,890.00 plus comprehensive

? Bachelor's degree OR equivalent combination of experience and
training.
? Experience in taking clear and concise meeting minutes.
? Experience managing complex schedules using calendar management
features.

? Successful interview (including Word and Excel tests).
? Successful completion of three background checks.

Preferred Qualifications
? Experience in an administrative or receptionist role.
? Experience working in higher education.
? Experience with Higher education software experience such as:
Banner, OnBase, SAP, Business Intelligence, and Source Point.

? Ability to sit for long lengths of time.
? Must be able to lift/pull/push up to 10 pounds.
? Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard
and mouse.
