The State University of New York at Fredonia invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track, Assistant Professor in Sport Management starting in August 2025. This position offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES

Reporting to the Chair, the successful candidate will:
? Teach a wide range of traditional and innovative undergraduate and master's courses in Sport Management, such as Sport Law and Risk Management, Sport Data Analytics, Esports Management, Event Management, Sport Governance, Technology in Sports, Sport in Diverse Societies and others;
? Publish scholarly papers, write grant applications, and assist with assessment, program review and accreditation;
? Contribute to curriculum development and refinement.
? Provide academic advisement to students;
? Participate in committees and provide service to the department, college, university, and profession;
? Be aware of, understand, and follow all university policies;
? Have excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively, and in a collegial and professional manner, with students, faculty, and staff;
? Have the ability to multi-task, meet goals and deadlines;
? Contribute to the university,

This is a full-time, term appointed, tenure-track position beginning Fall 2025.

This position is eligible for visa sponsorship and the pay range is $60,000 - $67,000, commensurate with experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
? Ph.D or Ed.D. in Sport Management or any closely related field (ABD candidates will be considered but must have completed the degree by August 2025);
? Demonstrated excellence in teaching;
? A successful record of research accomplishments that may include published scholarship, case studies, and work with undergraduates;
? Demonstrated commitment and ability to work with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff and constituents in support of campus and department mission;

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
? Using technology in teaching;
? Sport management practical experience;
? Established relationships with sport management industries;
? Mentoring undergraduate students' work, such as student clubs, independent studies, and undergraduate research;
? Other relevant sport management experience.
