Assistant Teaching Professor, Department of Sociology and
Criminology

The Department of Sociology and Criminology at the Pennsylvania
State University, University Park campus, invites applications for
a full-time Assistant Teaching Professor to start Fall 2025.

This position will involve teaching courses in Criminology at the
undergraduate level. Onsite teaching is an essential function of
this job.

A Ph.D. in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Sociology, or a closely
related field is required by the appointment date. Candidates with
a J.D. by time of appointment will also be considered.

In addition, successful candidates must either have demonstrated a
commitment to building an inclusive, equitable, and diverse campus
community, or describe one or more ways they would envision doing
so, given the opportunity.

To be considered for this position, candidates must submit a letter

including a description of teaching experience and interests; a
