Position Responsibilities:

? Utilize your comprehensive knowledge of business practices to assess, evaluate and diagnose emerging business patterns, and to effectively implement strategies for business enhancement.
? Accountable for driving the implementation and execution of customer satisfaction-focused initiatives, including nutritional standards, promotion of pet companions, seasonal marketing endeavors, and exceptional services aimed at surpassing sales objectives.
? Creating a sales strategy with an Omni Channel focus that provides options like services, veterinary services, loyalty programs, BOPUS, Endless Aisle, and Repeat Delivery to cater to the diverse needs of guests.
? The successful execution and implementation of company policies, safety practices, and promotional activities fall under the purview of the Leader on Duty at the Pet Care Center.
? Facilitate each guest's transactions in a way that leaves a positive lasting impression.
? Display the selling model in your behavior and offer assistance to guests as appropriate.
? The selection, employment, instruction, mentoring, confirmation, acknowledgement, evaluation, and upskilling of each team member responsible for directly supporting the efficient and Petco-compliant operation of the Pet Care Center, as well as the proper execution of selling and service tactics fall under this position's realm of responsibility.
? Incorporate Petco selling behaviors into the weekly schedule to maximize the coverage of the sales floor and provide an enhanced guest experience.
? Foster an environment of positive leadership by prioritizing teamwork, inclusivity, and collaboration and providing unambiguous direction that highlights a passionate commitment to both people and pets.
? This assistant plays a critical role in the Pet Care Center partnership with the operations team by ensuring consistent replenishment and brand standards.
? The Petco Leadership Expectations are mandatory for Solution Managers to exhibit and endorse.

Other Essential Duties:
? Set the standard for leadership and sales strategies to help the Pet Care Center's partners and associates. Show proactivity in reinforcing a positive business climate that motivates teams to pursue company objectives. Present a compelling case for change and expansion.
? Prioritize Safety: Our primary objective is ensuring the safety of our partners, guests, and pets. It is crucial to stick to Petco's safety policies, practices, and protocols and implement any new ones accordingly.
? Encourage collaboration by making it part of the company's goals and objectives. This move ensures that partners see collaboration as a core requirement in contributing to the success of the company.
? Consistently provide developmental opportunities for partners to strengthen Petco's talent pipeline and effectiveness in delivering value to the customer.
? Maintain Fun and Enthusiasm. Promote a feeling of excitement and enthusiasm while working at Petco. Emphasize fun and creativity in the workplace to encourage employee engagement and customer satisfaction.

Supervisory Responsibility:
? A high school diploma or a corresponding degree is a must-have for applicants; having some experience in college-level courses in business or management is desirable.
? Candidates who are being considered for this position should have a minimum of 2 years of management experience or an equivalent level of experience, but 3 or more years of experience is highly desirable.
? You cannot drive a motor vehicle if you lack a valid license.
? For this job, the candidate must exhibit outstanding communication proficiency, excellent organizational skills, and have expertise in operating computer applications like Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, among others.
? This individual exhibits mastery in various facets of corporate operations, as well as fundamental business and financial expertise, analytical and troubleshooting abilities, and a strong emphasis on personnel growth and customer care.
? The ideal candidate will exhibit a talent for showcasing excellent guest service and the capability to educate others.

Supervisory Responsibility:
? The Asst Pet Care Manager's duties include supervision of the solutions LOD, generalists, specialists, grooming salon leaders, and dog trainers.
? By working closely with Vetco and Vet Hospital, the Asst Pet Care Manager will be accountable for influencing their guest strategies and achieving meaningful results.
? Attract, assess and retain high-achieving sales personnel to grow the business and aid in the selection of future leaders and partners.

Work Environment:

The pet care center assistant job requires weekend availability and the ability to work during crucial sales hours. Although most activities take place inside, stocking items, carrying customer purchases, and completing bank deposits may require leaving the premises.
