Business Line Senior Territory Manager

In this role, you will own and manage an assigned territory, focusing on driving profitable premium growth to achieve both financial and operational goals. You will operate under limited supervision, managing a diverse range of agency partnerships, specifically handling 20-30 network partners within the Central Region. Your primary responsibility will be to optimize performance from these network partners by creating, implementing, and executing territory and agency strategies that align with company programs, tools, and resources. Collaboration with internal business partners will be essential as you conduct agency outreach, primarily through in-person visits, supplemented by audio or video conferences, email, and other digital media. The position emphasizes business lines, working across a wide breadth of commercial products, coverages, and market appetite, while closely engaging with network partners to drive the flow of small commercial business and balancing engagement with internal stakeholders to secure larger targeted accounts. You will be responsible for leading the assigned geographical territory and agency management processes, which include agency prospecting, business planning, engagement, training, compensation, and plant optimization. Building and cultivating mutually beneficial agency partnerships will be a key focus, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor while delivering product, underwriting philosophy, appetite, and system training. Your efforts will support retention and new business development, ultimately increasing depth and maximizing agency revenue. You will create, maintain, and execute high-quality agency strategies and plans aimed at achieving direct written premium, profit, and new business goals, ensuring that these plans include both strategic and tactical components aligned with key Personal Lines or Business Lines business strategies. Under limited supervision, you will drive and ensure the quality of new business flow, appropriate book mix, and overall risk management of both individual agency books and the overall assigned territory. This includes providing appetite and target market clarity, identifying and addressing profit or quality of business concerns to ensure profitability across the territory. You will lead, collaborate with, influence, and support internal business partners, such as underwriting, product management, claims, and risk control, to identify and capitalize on opportunities, solve problems, and share key competitor and industry intelligence. Additionally, you will strategically utilize internal and external programs and tools designed to support the Independent Agent channel and Senior Territory Manager agency management, including all marketing and development programs, business development tools, and internal production/profitability data and analysis. Leadership and mentoring for other team members will also be part of your responsibilities, contributing ideas for continuous improvement and performing other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities

? Collaborates with Personal Lines (PL) or Business Lines (BL) counterparts to effectively partner with shared agency assignments.

Requirements
? Bachelor's degree and 5 years plus sales/insurance industry experience strongly preferred or combination of high school education and experience required.

? Self-motivated and driven by results.

? Ability to effectively manage a territory of agency partner accounts and leverage profitable growth.

? Demonstrated ability to work independently.
,
? Ability to travel extensively throughout a defined territory may be required.

? Excellent skills in relationship building, negotiation, coaching, overcoming barriers, and capitalizing on growth opportunities.

? CPCU, CIC, MBA, other continued education and industry designations a plus.
