POSITION OVERVIEW: Chiquita is currently seeking a Corporate Tax Accountant to join the North American Tax Team. We are searching for a dynamic and motivated individual to perform a variety of functions with a particular focus on supporting our tax operations within the US. Reporting to the Global Head of Tax, the functions of this position will include providing tax support to the North American Tax Team on local tax compliance support, managing of state tax audits, tax legislative updates, existing and new business initiatives, business restructurings and international tax aspects. This position is 100% onsite and located in Dania Beach, Florida.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Support the preparation, review, filing, and payment of US federal, state direct, and international tax compliance processes (including but not limited to forms 1120, 5471, 5472, 8865, 8892, etc.). ? Utilize Thomson Reuters's OneSource platform for efficient tax compliance management. ? Assist in the preparation of the global tax provision, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations. ? Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather necessary information for tax compliance processes. ? Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify potential tax planning opportunities. ? Assist in tax audits and inquiries, providing necessary documentation and support as required. ? Identify areas for process improvement and implement enhancements to streamline tax compliance processes. ? Ad hoc tax projects as required or as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENT:
? Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or related field. CPA or advanced degree preferred.
? At least five (5) years of experience in tax accounting or related field, preferably in a multinational corporation or public accounting firm with multinational clients, or a master's degree and three (3) years of professional experience.
? Sound technical knowledge and practical experience dealing with US federal and international tax issues for multinational corporations.
? Experience using Thomson Reuters's OneSource platform or similar tax compliance software.
? Advanced MS Excel skills.
? Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail and with ability to research tax law and apply relevant tax law to specific fact patterns.
? Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and "hands-on" environment.
? Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
? Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement orientation.

JOB ENVIRONMENT:
? Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment
? Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal
? Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday
? Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties

This position requires satisfactory passing of a drug test in accordance with Florida Statute ? 440.102
