Delivery Driver

About the Role:
As a Local Class A CDL Truck Driver with Sysco, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality products to our customers. This is a dynamic position that requires excellent customer service skills and adherence to state and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and Sysco safety preferred work methods.

Your Key Responsibilities: ? Deliver products within assigned routes and time windows, immediately informing management of any deviations. ? Unload products from trailers by hand or using hand carts, placing them in designated customer storage areas. ? Frequently lift, push, or move products weighing 1-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds; frequently reach up to 72 inches to stack and unstack pallets and hand carts. ? Constantly bend and twist while loading and unloading products, and retrieving items from trailers. ? Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures, contacting management for authorization when discrepancies occur on invoices and communicating all errors/returns. ? Pickup, load, and unload damaged goods and customer returns, completing necessary paperwork. ? Perform pre-trip and post-trip responsibilities following DOT regulations and Sysco policies and procedures. ? Complete DOT logs (electronic or manual as required), company vehicle maintenance reports, and reconcile with appropriate company representatives as needed. ? Follow SyscoSafe preferred work methods at all times, advising supervisors of any unsafe conditions. ? Maintain sanitary conditions in tractors and trailers and assist with maintaining sanitary conditions in warehouses and yards. ? Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment, including hand carts, pallets, load bars, and personal protective equipment. ? Attend all required company meetings. ? Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements: ? Must be 21+ years old. ? Valid Class A Commercial Drivers License with a clean driving record. ? 1-year commercial driving experience. ? Submit to pre-employment testing (Drug Screen, Background Check, Physical Abilities Test). ? For internal associates, or if market conditions warrant, Sysco may opt to require completion of Sysco's Entry-Level Driver Training Program within first 12 weeks of Driver employment, in place of 1 year CMV experience.
