Environmental Scientist Mid Level

Tetra Tech is seeking a Mid Level Environmental Scientist to perform task-level work, including field investigations, construction oversight, health and safety monitoring, and technical report preparation.

This role may serve as the Field Operations Leader (FOL) in the field and collaborate with peers, senior staff, project managers, and operations managers in the office.

The candidate will be responsible for following company safety standards, participating in safety training, and preparing site-specific health and safety plans.

They must review and understand site-specific work plans, scopes of work, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and prepare various technical deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
? Work as a member of teams conducting hands-on environmental sampling, including soil, water, and air sampling.
? Prepare for and serve as FOL overseeing other field staff and subcontractors.
? Monitor investigative/remediation work to ensure compliance with contract specifications, regulations, and industry standards.
? Record and compile data into coherent products for customer use, interpret and explain findings to project teams.
Qualifications
? A bachelor's degree or master's degree in Geology, Geological Sciences, or Engineering, or a bachelor's degree in natural sciences.
? A minimum of three years of directly related work experience in environmental consulting, engineering, or related industry.
? Previous field experience, including sampling activities and environmental drilling operations, ability to work independently and lead field teams.
