Talascend is currently seeking a Financial Analyst for a contract opportunity located in Marion, PA.

Onsite role, may allow for WFH 1-2 days a week once manager sees fit.

OVERVIEW:

Manage and assist Plant Controller in plant spend forecasting and analysis, cost accounting, financial closing/reporting, and inventory management activities while ensuring internal controls are in place and being followed for the site, and multiple locations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Perform month-end closing responsibilities including preparing journal entries, ensuring monthly transactions are correctly recorded, analyzing, reporting and presenting spend, production credits, MUV, inventory adjustments and PPV performance. ? Analyze and report financial results on a weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual basis vs. prior year, plan, and forecast. ? Assist department managers in developing monthly forecasts and weekly pulses (operations, maintenance, HR, engineering, HSE). ? Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, develop action plans and lead resolution on accounts. ? Support development of the sites annual operating plan and annual strategic plan. ? Coordinate and assist with multiple annual physical inventories, storeroom inventory, and fixed asset audits. ? Assist site personnel, Accounts Payable, and Procurement with the resolution of blocked invoice payments as necessary. ? Maintain/improve strong internal control processes and educate site through monthly finance learning series. ? Support new product costing. ? Implement financial process improvements to reduce cycle times, automate work, improve forecast quality, and enhance reporting and analysis processes. ? Identify cost savings and productivity projects and track savings. ? Special projects, ad hoc analysis, and other duties as required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: ? 4-year degree in Accounting or Finance. ? Minimum of 1 year experience in an accounting or finance position.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: ? SAP experience. ? Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel. ? Ability to understand plant and business activities with a view broader than just the finance function. ? Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and communicate financial data to non-financial personnel. ? Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills. ? Possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. ? Self-motivated and results oriented, proactive, able to prioritize to meet deadlines.
