We do not require special schooling or a college degree for this job and you will be fully trained by United. As a Flight Attendant, you will enjoy travel privileges that allow you to fly around the world on United and bring your loved ones along. You will start with an hourly flight pay of $28.88, with the potential to reach $67.11/hour based on seniority and additional compensation for language skills, lead positions, and international trips. Your journey will begin with a comprehensive 6.5-week training program in Houston, TX, where you will learn United's safety and customer service standards. Upon successful completion of this training, you will be welcomed aboard as a full-time employee and assigned to one of our seven hubs. United provides a $140/week per diem, along with accommodations, breakfast, and lunch during training. As a flight attendant, you will ensure the highest levels of safety, adapt to various customer-facing scenarios, and represent United with pride and distinction. Flexibility is key, as you will be available for global assignments 24/7, including nights, weekends, and holidays. You will work independently and as part of a team to create memorable experiences for every customer, every flight, every day.

Responsibilities
? Ensure the highest levels of safety during flights.

? Provide outstanding customer service and engage with passengers positively.

? Adapt to different customer-facing scenarios with good judgment and compassion.

? Fulfill reserve assignments on short notice and be away from base for extended periods.

? Serve and sell food and beverages in a professional manner.

? Work independently and as part of a team to meet customer expectations.

Requirements
? Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application.
,
? High school graduate or GED; 2 or more years of college preferred.
,
? At least one year of customer service experience in the service industry.
,
? Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently; proficiency in a second language is highly desirable.
,
? Ability to hear all types and ranges of sound.
,
? Must possess a valid passport with at least 18 months of validity remaining prior to expiration.
,
? Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, stoop, stretch, reach, lift heavy objects, and push/pull beverage carts.
,
? Ability to pass a functional reach assessment for operating necessary equipment.

Nice-to-haves
? Proficiency in a second language such as Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Spanish, etc.

? Experience in the aviation industry is a plus.
