Description

As a Flight Attendant, you will perform duties in an aircraft environment while adhering to established standards, policies, and Federal Aviation Administration regulations. You must be able to operate galley and cabin service equipment, including the in-flight entertainment system, both independently and as part of a team. Ensuring the safety and comfort of customers is a priority, along with delivering exemplary customer service. Responsibilities include assisting passengers with luggage, attending to individuals requiring special assistance, preparing and serving meals and beverages, maintaining a professional appearance, and projecting a positive attitude. Dependability and time management are crucial for completing assignments and maintaining punctuality.

You must be able to perceive and respond to both written and verbal communications, complete paperwork and detailed reports, and adjust to a rotating schedule with variable hours, including up to a 16-hour duty day. Working nights, weekends, and holidays is required, with extended periods away from home. Duties include sitting in an assigned jump seat with a fastened seatbelt and harness, retrieving and storing items in overhead bins, and performing physical tasks such as walking, bending, and reaching. Exposure to allergens, including peanuts and pets, is possible. Additionally, maintaining the aircraft cabin, galley, and lavatory, restocking supplies, and following safety-conscious behaviors are essential.

In emergency situations, you will implement instructions from the flight deck, guide passengers, administer first aid, and ensure compliance with all safety procedures. Physical responsibilities include opening emergency exits, closing aircraft doors weighing up to 60 pounds, and maneuvering beverage carts requiring 32 pounds of force. Restocking the galley involves following procedures for inventory, ordering catering items, checking expiration dates, ensuring no food remains after deplaning, and notifying leadership when stock is low. Other duties may be assigned by management or Inflight Services leadership.

Requirements

The successful candidate must be at least 23 years old and have either three years of corporate cabin attendant experience or prior experience as a flight attendant. Fluency in English is required, while bilingual skills are preferred but not mandatory. A valid passport is necessary, along with the ability to pass a DOT-required pre-employment drug screening and ongoing random drug and alcohol testing. Candidates must also pass a 10-year work history review, criminal background check, and fingerprint screening. A valid driver?s license with a good driving record is required. The candidate must successfully complete Contour?s four-week Flight Attendant Initial Training Program and Initial Operating Experience. Residency within one hour of the assigned base is mandatory, along with availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules.

The role requires the ability to work unsupervised, maintain a professional and customer-oriented demeanor, and possess strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. The candidate should be capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, paying close attention to detail, and demonstrating excellent communication skills with professionalism. Compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements, including OSHA, EPA, and federal regulations, is essential. Authorization to work and travel to and from the United States is also required.

The starting annual salary for this position is $42,000, with yearly increases based on performance and pay anniversary until reaching $52,452.24.
