Flight Data Analyst

Job Location: 17301 Edwards Rd, Cerritos, CA 90703

Position Status: Contract, Fully onsite

Job summary

This position is primarily responsible for ensuring the accurate analysis of flight characteristics, identify the possible cause of fault, generating invoice to customers and assist the customer support team with any disputes or repair issues.

Essential Functions

All essential duties are able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation to all individuals with or without disability.

• Recover and upload data files from the physical product

• Determine whether the product damage is due to product malfunction or pilot error

• Generate graphical illustrations based on product data files

• Assist the damage assessment team in determining the root cause of failures through collaborative analysis and interpretation of technical data.

• Draft flight data analysis reports and clearly communicate the findings both verbally and in writing, using plain, easy-to-understand language to ensure accessibility for non-technical audiences.

• Explain technical aspects of the analysis report to internal teams and customers to resolve questions or disputes effectively.

• Send the corresponding invoices to the administrative team for them to send to customers

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and experience

• Associate degree (A.A.) or some college required. Bachelor?s degree in STEM field preferred.

Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of software operating systems

• Knowledge of graphs reading and data interpretation required

• Knowledge of RF equipment and wireless technology are required

• Knowledge of electronic terminology are required (ex. volts)

• Knowledge of basic engineering methodology for problem solving preferred

• Camera knowledge preferred

• Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft excel required

• Computer proficiency required

• Microsoft Office Suite including word, PPT , outlook and excel

• Basic programming skills preferred

• Data encryption skills preferred

• Thorough knowledge about DJI products is a huge plus

• Excellent communication skills

• Excellent technical writing skills

The job constantly requires talking and hearing.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include near acuity, far acuity, color vision, field of vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is expected to sit in front of a computer and be able to identify the information on the computer.

The position has sedentary lifting requirements. The job requires lifting up to 30 pounds occasionally.

The equipment and tools used for this job including computer and other office equipment and tools.

Environmental Conditions

The job operates in a warehouse environment. Employee are constantly exposed to dust and noise from receiving large volume of products from the shipping department.

Expected working days and hours

This is a non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday from 7:00am ? 3:30pm or 9:00am ? 5:30pm as required by the manager. Occasional evening and weekend work maybe required as duties demand.

Travel

Little or no travel is expected for this position

Work authorization/Security clearance

Must be eligible to work in the United States.
