About the position

The Health Occupation Training Instructor, Substitute (CNA/CCMA) position at Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is a part-time role based in Edison, NJ. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about teaching and making a positive impact in the lives of students. As a substitute instructor, you will be responsible for delivering career technical instruction according to approved curricula, providing essential training and guidance to help students achieve their academic and career goals. The role requires a commitment to maintaining a supportive and organized learning environment, where students can thrive and develop their skills in health occupations. In this role, you will provide direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas of instruction, motivating and counseling students on various aspects such as behavior, training, personal issues, and study habits. You will also coordinate with counselors and other staff members to address any issues that may affect student training or instruction. Developing and preparing lessons in accordance with approved curriculum guidelines is a key responsibility, as well as recommending changes to curricula and supplemental materials to enhance the learning experience. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe training environment is essential to ensure that students can focus on their education without distractions. MTC operates the Edison Job Corps Center, where the focus is on providing quality services to local youth. Responsibilities
? Provide students with direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas of instruction.

Requirements
? Substitute teaching certification/license, as required by the state of employment.
,
? Two (2) years of work-related experience in the designated career training area.
,
? A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
