About the position

The IM Field Medical, Outcomes & Analytics Director is a pivotal role within Pfizer, responsible for educating healthcare customers on the clinical and economic impacts of Pfizer's medicines and products. This position plays a crucial role in informing customer decision-making and enhancing population health through comprehensive analyses of real-world data, pharmacoeconomic evaluations, and medical presentations. The director will plan and execute medical strategies tailored to assigned customers within a designated territory, ensuring compliance while coordinating with other Pfizer colleagues to meet medical objectives. A key aspect of this role involves maintaining a deep understanding of relevant therapeutic areas and disease states, as well as the specific Pfizer products that address these needs. The director will serve as a vital resource for medical information, providing healthcare professionals (HCPs) with requested information while also relaying customer insights back to Pfizer. This position requires effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders, including headquarters medical colleagues and other field medical staff, to ensure alignment with Pfizer's medical affairs priorities. The director will also be responsible for developing and implementing scientifically sound real-world evidence-based outcomes tools, such as Health Outcomes Projects and Evaluations (HOPEs), to identify opportunities for improving patient care and addressing population health management. This role demands a strong understanding of clinical, health information technology, and market considerations to create mutually beneficial projects and collaborations that advance quality of care. The director will engage with key stakeholders, including Quality Improvement Organizations and medical associations, to align their population health priorities with Pfizer's strategic medical objectives. In addition to these responsibilities, the director will analyze workflows within clinical healthcare information systems to enhance care processes, reduce gaps, and improve overall care efficiency. The role requires maintaining clinical informatics capabilities to foster effective collaborations and support the development of clinical content that integrates clinical perspectives with innovative information technology solutions. The director will also represent Pfizer Medical Affairs in professional associations, enhancing recognition through collaborative projects and publications.

Responsibilities
? Plan and execute Medical strategy and engagement for assigned customers within a territory.

? Maintain knowledge of relevant therapeutic areas and Pfizer medicines, providing information to stakeholders.

? Serve as a conduit for Medical Information and customer insights, sharing information with HCPs and Pfizer.

? Contribute to Medical content strategy development and execute aligned Field Medical tactics.

? Maintain effective communication and collaboration among Medical colleagues and other Pfizer staff.

? Demonstrate expertise in communication across multiple channels, including presentations and written communication.

? Optimize patient-centricity of Medical communications, incorporating health literacy and cultural awareness principles.

? Provide objective medical information regarding Pfizer's medicines and disease states through various tools and evaluations.

? Prioritize customer needs to develop and implement Real World Evidence-based outcomes tools.

? Integrate understanding of clinical, HIT, market, and account considerations for customer-specific projects.

? Serve as the Medical lead for assigned customers, developing and executing a Medical account plan.

? Respond to unsolicited requests from customers regarding scientific interpretation of clinical information.

? Engage with key stakeholders to understand their population health priorities and identify collaboration opportunities.

? Provide Medical support for HIT initiatives, assessing organizational capabilities and feasibility.
,
? Analyze workflows in clinical healthcare information systems to improve care processes.
,
? Maintain and develop clinical informatics capabilities for effective collaborations.
,
? Facilitate development of clinical content using information technology to build innovative tools.
,
? Provide expertise on e-data collection and planning for Field Medical colleagues.

? Work cross-functionally to identify and deploy HIT solutions aligned with Pfizer Medical goals.

? Support development of HIT resources for new product and indication launches.
,
? Represent Pfizer Medical Affairs with clinical/professional associations, demonstrating professionalism.
,
? Enhance customer recognition of Pfizer Medical through collaborative projects and publications.

? Collaborate with internal Pfizer colleagues to understand outcomes of interest and data analysis needs.

? Create tools, resources, and educational materials for internal and external use.
,
? Manage a significant volume of projects in a field-based environment, prioritizing effectively.

? Maintain professional licensure and complete internal training requirements.

Requirements
? Bachelor's degree in a health science required.
,
? 10+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree; 8+ years with a master's degree; 6+ years with a terminal degree.
,
? Experience in clinical, formulary, or management roles within managed care or the pharmaceutical industry.
,
? Experience in data analytics and/or HEOR activities with strong methodological skills in health services research.
,
? Ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, and guide colleagues to achieve outcomes.
,
? Strong analytic skills with creativity in identifying and addressing challenges.
,
? Excellent comprehension and communication skills, able to convey complex scientific information clearly.
,
? Well-organized with flexibility to prioritize multiple demands and employ situational leadership skills.

? Ability to travel, including overnight travel for meetings, with a potential travel requirement of 40-50%.

? Valid US Driver's License and ability to operate a Pfizer company car.
