In the role of an LPN or Medical Assistant, your duties within the healthcare team involve providing direct and indirect patient care in an ambulatory clinic, following the regulations set forth by Monument Health to guarantee comprehensive support for each patient.

Job Description

Essential Functions:
? Ensures that the examination and treatment rooms are ready in accordance with clinic standards.
? Executes patient rooming protocols involving vital sign monitoring, data collection, and other identified elements that are specific to the clinic context and within the stated Scope of Responsibilities.
? Precisely follows clinic guidelines by administering and documenting unit dose medications/immunizations accurately post completion of training/competency.
? Completes EKGs and laboratory testing according to the clinic's CLIA license after successfully undergoing training and proving competency.
? Verifies that the information recorded in the patient's documentation is accurate, clear, and concise as per the specified Scope of Responsibilities. May serve as a provider scribe upon completing training.
? Executes all designated office responsibilities and manages the maintenance and ordering of supplies as per instructions.
? Facilitates the coordination of follow-up appointments and care as per instructions.
? Delivers pre-printed patient education resources that are pre-authorized, advising patients to seek clarification from the provider or RN.
? Responsibilities delineated in the official guidelines for functions within Monument Health.
? Further duties may be mandated by the employer.

Additional Requirements

Required:

Education - Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing

Certification - Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing

Preferred:

Experience - 1+ years of Healthcare Experience

Physical Requirements:

Very Heavy work - exerting over 25 pounds of force constantly (67-100% of the time), and/or more than 50 pounds frequently (34-66% of the time), and/or more than 100 pounds of force occassionally (up to 33% of the time), and/or more than 100 pounds of force seldomly to move objects. Possible exposure to radiation and frequent exposure to contaminated needles and infectious body substances. Requires the ability to work designated shift lengths (including 8 and 12 hours), which may include night shifts or occasional irregular hours.
