SmileWorks is looking for an energetic, compassionate dental assistant who enjoys working with children. We are committed to providing the highest quality care to our patients. Services include all aspects of children's dentistry and orthodontics. Experience is preferred but not required. The successful candidate will have a positive attitude, be motivated to learn, able to multi-task and take initiative in a busy environment. We strive to only provide the best for our patients and their families! A Florida dental radiology license is required. Full or Part time opportunity available.

Dental Assistant

    Duties:
  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures
  • Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures
  • Take and develop dental x-rays
  • Perform basic dental laboratory procedures
  • Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update medical charts
  • Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment
  • Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
    Skills:
  • Pediatrics: Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred
  • Assisting: Proficient in assisting the dentist during various dental procedures
  • Infection control: Knowledge of infection control protocols and practices to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
  • Vital signs: Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
  • X-Ray: Proficient in taking and developing dental x-rays
  • Medical imaging: Familiarity with medical imaging equipment and techniques
  • Epic: Experience with Epic electronic health record system is a plus
  • Dental assisting: Knowledge of dental assisting techniques, instruments, and materials
  • Medical records: Ability to maintain accurate patient records and update medical charts
  • Aseptic technique: Understanding of aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infections
