Services include all aspects of children's dentistry and orthodontics. Experience is preferred but not required. Dental Assistant
- Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Perform basic dental laboratory procedures
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical charts
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
- Skills:
- Pediatrics: Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred
- Assisting: Proficient in assisting the dentist during various dental procedures
- Infection control: Knowledge of infection control protocols and practices to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
- Vital signs: Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- X-Ray: Proficient in taking and developing dental x-rays
- Medical imaging: Familiarity with medical imaging equipment and techniques
- Epic: Experience with Epic electronic health record system is a plus
- Dental assisting: Knowledge of dental assisting techniques, instruments, and materials
- Medical records: Ability to maintain accurate patient records and update medical charts
- Aseptic technique: Understanding of aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infections
